Dr Dey has been trained in Neurology in England. He has relocated in May 2008 with a view to bring the ‘Best of British’ to Kolkata, his hometown.

Dr Dey stood 5th in the state of West Bengal in the Secondary Examination and 15th in the Higher Secondary Examination. He was awarded Sir J C Bose National Science Talent Search Scholarship in 1989. Dr Dey graduated with Honours and Gold Medals in 1995 from the University of Calcutta. He received Gold Medal in Medicine and other subjects, and won a number of medals and prizes including J B Mukherjee Medal, A Chowrashi Medal, Dr A K Basu Memorial medal in Medicine, and Tilottoma Chatterjee Endowment Award. He received the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Small Project grant as an undergraduate student. He was awarded MD in Internal Medicine from the IPGMER and SSKM Hospital, Calcutta in 1999. He received the coveted IPGMER Gold Medal.
He moved to England in 1999 and successfully completed the MRCP(UK) in
2001 and became the Member of the Royal College of Physicians, London. He
has been trained in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology and has had the
opportunity to work at several premier institutes and hospitals in London
including the The Royal London and St Bartholomews Hospital, Guy's and St
Thomas' Hospital, Queen Mary's Hospital Sidcup. He has also received
training at the renowned Institute of Neurology, Queens Square.
Dr Dey is a member of the Association of British Neurologists (ABN), British
Association of Stroke Physicians (BASP), Indian Stroke Association, and
International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE), UK Chapter
